Monday to Saturday from 10h to 18h and one hour before each performance at the place of performance.
PrésentationIn the Paris of the 1960s, Momo is 11 years old, but pretends to be 16 while he wanders Rue Bleue, left to his own devices, with his only friend being a Muslim shopkeeper with a wise countenance. Mr Ibrahim sees his distress, while the boy sees him as a father figure. However, the story ceaselessly plays with appearances, to better make us look beyond that.
An anthem against past and modern hatred, the piece goes well beyond the edge of the stage: it has become a veritable standard for proponents of peace throughout the world; it is returning from a triumphant international tour and has created the event in Avignon before once again travelling the stages of France.
Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt determinedly grabs hold of his monologue, in which he plays both characters: a glorious performance of moving and joyful spirituality. Inspired by Sufism, this delicate praise of tenderness and curiosity is a wonderful ode to tolerance to which the sparklingly human text gives a profoundly modern reflection.
Le Figaro: Éric-Emmanuel Schmitt is an excellent actor.
De la cour au jardin: A show that is subtle, with finesse and delicacy. (...) Mr Schmitt is excellent. (...) A truly wonderful moment of grace.
L’Express: Not to be missed!
Meeting with the author and actor at the end of the 14:30 performance
