PrésentationA pianist with a magnetic presence and a pure talent from the Russian school, Dimitri Naïditch is an ambidexter, just as if his heritage is this specific duality that has made him a star of the international stage. While his technical mastery opened the door of the entire classical repertoire to him at a very young age, his curiosity pushed him to break down the barriers between styles. Succumbing to the temptation of jazz, he has ceaselessly continued to explore all the riches and combine both repertoires. The purity of his classical performance combined with the creativity of his jazz skill builds a musical bridge connecting both sides of the Atlantic! Every concert by this specialist in Rachmaninov, also an accomplice of mighty jazzmen such as Didier Lockwood and Richard Galliano, is an original performance not to be missed. A charismatic concert performer, winner of multiple awards across the globe, this romantic and committed music-lover also has two hearts that he manages to make beat as one. Piano, drums and double bass interweave a spectacular two-tone score for this evening: playing with great technical mastery the emblematic works from the classic repertoire, and then giving them a new personality by reinterpreting them with carefully crafted jazz overtones from Dimitri Naïditch’s arrangements. By using two languages to make these classical compositions ring out, the trio reveals other facets and brings together two musical leanings that are traditionally at opposites.
